Last month, I-OnAsia's team facilitated more than one dozen simultaneous anti-counterfeiting raids in Guangdong Province, leading to more than US$40 million in fake goods being taken off the market for a single client in a single day. The enforcement action is believed to be one of the largest ever of its kind in South China.
Preparation took over a period of three months. Staff from I-OnAsia's Hong Kong headquarters and Guangdong field offices conducted surveillance, investigated the background and activities of suspected infringers, prepared complaints for law enforcement, and submitted these complaints to relevant authorities in Guangdong, amongst other actions. I-OnAsia's staff provided independent observers on the morning of these raids, and verification in the days that followed.
